Our Focus
The Virginia Group of Parishes are evangelical churches,
belonging to the Church of Ireland (Anglican/Episcopalian)
They are part of the Diocese of Kilmore, Elphin and Ardagh
Our parish focus across all ages and stages of faith:
ROOTS (our relationship with God)
Based on the Parable of the Sower - (Matthew 13, Mark 4, Luke 8) - But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the one who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.
Our number 1 aim is to cultivate, plant and grow in our relationship with God the Father through His Son Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit in all that we do.
REPAIRS (our buildings)
Haggai 1 - Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your panelled houses, while this house remains a ruin?
While our church is not just about buildings they are important. So we work hard to have churches and halls that are fit for purpose in todays world.
RELATIONSHIPS (with each other as a group of parishes)
1 Corinthians 10:17 - Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf.
Fellowship is important both in worship and socially. All will find a warm welcome waiting.
Our parish motto is: All Together 4 Churches Serving 1 God
